Supply Chain Executive - Shared Service Centre

As a member of the Global Michelin Business Services Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Price & Billing Team, the Supply Chain Executive is responsible for the payment of Imports / Exports freight invoices in a timely and accurate manner, whilst maintaining control and consistency. The person is further responsible for the collection of supply chain freight invoices from different sources and performs a variety of financial and business analyses for maintain integrity of supply chain-associated expenses. Also expected to maintain excellent people relationships with supply chain partners for promptly resolving issues and improving positive experience for Michelin Suppliers.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Update accurate General Ledger (GL) entries and cost center allocations for invoices related to freight in the SAP System.
  • Identify the internal/external issues about the freight invoice and communicate to the internal stakeholders in order to resolve timely manner.
  • Preparation of weekly aging reports and identify invoices close to the 30-day payment deadline and identify bottlenecks and communicate to the Supply Chain Team lead for further action.
  • Obtaining approval from the Global Freight Team to ensure the accuracy of the freight invoice details provided by the suppliers.
  • Coordinate with global contact managers to oversee and manage freight rates as well as
  • Maintain excellent relationships with Supply Chain partners and provide clear, concise, and accurate responses to them on various queries.
  • Data Management, Supply, and Demand Forecast Report Preparation
  • Perform weekly and monthly periodic closures relating to inventory transactions, service accruals, material rebates, and other cost allocations across the business.
  • Root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, look for continuous improvement opportunities in inventory and costing transaction processes.
  • Appropriately recording and reconciling inventory transactions related to Inter-plant stock transfers in the SAP MM/EWM system.
  • Maintain inventory controls and monitor cycle count processes.
  • Coordinate monthly and annual physical inventory count and post adjustments for differences.
  • Maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in the SAP system.
  • Process monthly and annual Costing Runs.
  • Accounts reconciliation and justification before reviewers, internal and external auditors, and internal controllers.
  • Suggest improvement ideas on the processes.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University;
  • Professional qualification in CIMA (UK) / ACCA (UK) / ISMM/ CIPS will be advantageous;
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant experience at least in one sub-function in finance/ Supply Chain;
  • Experience in ERP systems, preferably in SAP;
  • Ability to effectively work in Multiple time zones is a must and adapt to different cultures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel & other office applications;
  • Excellent level of verbal and written English communication skills;
  • Comfortable interacting with Senior Management and key business partners throughout the organization.
