Full Stack Developer

The opportunity

Michelin has an immediate opening for a Full Stack Developer who leads a multi-functional project team to craft, develop, and modernize software solutions and applications to support Michelin’s purpose. What will you do?

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions (software and non-functional requirements) that build business value, provides an excellent user experience, and are easy to maintain and operate.
  • Validate/Deploying global solutions by supplying functional testing, change management, communication, and training.
  • Maintain and optimize a working solution by evaluating proposed changes, making improvement recommendations, and implementing approved changes.
  • Ensure the availability, the performance, and the security level of applications by providing Level 3 Support (after the helpdesk (Level 1) and application support analyst (Level 2))
  • Conduct business needs analysis to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Perform feasibility studies to validate proposed solutions against the encouraged requirements, cost, and provide risk mitigation ideas to the project leader as needed.
  • Use an incremental approach (Do & Learn) during design and development to own the lead time and deliver incremental functionalities quickly.

What will you bring

  • A willingness/ability to provide on-call support or deployment work outside of normal work hours and weekends, as needed.
  • BS in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Proven track record in programming/coding in languages like JavaScript and MySQL.
  • A proven ability to work with others to capture requirements and translate them into relevant functional specifications.
  • Demonstrates daily Agile & Lean values like collaboration, clarity, courage, and humility to nurture collaboration.
  • Prior experience in supporting Information Systems (IS) operations in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Experience in the following technologies is mandatory:

  • Programming skills in (PHP), JavaScript, HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) & jQuery
  • Database design & implementation with knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server & MySQL
  • Possess the ability to build & maintain projects with frameworks from scratch rather than using off-the-shelf frameworks.
  • Data driven single page web applications with object oriented back end development.
  • Designing, implementing & tuning relational application databases.
  • Configuring, administering & maintaining web & database servers.
