Mission:

Business Support Controllers assist the Business Entities in their Management Cost Control objectives, ensuring that our operations run with flawless efficiency and world-class precision.

Responsibilities:

The Business Support Controller will assist the Business Partner Controller in financial activities for the manufacturing operations. This will include costing, month-end reporting and analysis, and monitoring policies and procedures. Additionally, this person will protect assets by supervising internal controls and support financial conditions by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.

  • Monthly Reporting
  • Assist BPC with Month-end Close procedures, which may include Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory Accruals, Capitalization of Variances adjustments, standard accrual entries (such as Payroll, Utilities, etc.), and Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of specific educational requirements like BPC.
  • Costing
  • Maintain standard costs, including monthly updates and variance reconciliations. This will include new part costing, monthly costing updates, forecasts, and annual standard cost setting. This position will work closely with plant engineering to adjust routings and bill of materials as needed.
  • Raw Material
  • Forecast raw material purchase price costs and forecast purchase price variances. Responsible for monthly ppv analysis.
  • Analysis
  • Freight and Tariff Tracking
  • Utilities Analysis
  • Weekly Sales and Open Orders Reports
  • Annual Census Reporting
  • Quarterly Utilization / Capacity Survey
  • Financial Analysis as assigned (Supplies, Maintenance, etc.)
  • Assist with external audits
  • Internal Controls Reviews

Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • 2-5 years of experience as a cost analyst, financial analyst, accountant, or similar role
  • Previous costing experience preferred but not required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to connect with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated teamwork and efficiency with multitasking, prioritization, and attention to detail
