Support Analyst Oracle SCM Cloud (Experienced Level Professional)

MISSION: Provide L2 Support for the Oracle Cloud Solutions on the Oracle SCM cloud which includes OMC (Order Management Cloud), GOP (Global Order Promising) and BLM (Backlog Management) modules as well as the OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud).

L2 Support responsibilities include:

OMC:

  • Good knowledge of the Enterprise Setup and trouble shoot any issues with the setup

  • Good knowledge of the Orchestration Process setups, Pre-Processing rules and Orchestration Process assignment rules. Ability to trouble shoot any issues arising from missing or incorrect setups.
  • Good knowledge of the external interface rules configuration and trouble shoot any issues from missing or incorrect setup
  • Good knowledge of Customer, Product and Pricing APIs to support integration of these objects from external systems.
  • Ability to understand the Customer, Product and Pricing structures stored in OMC and trouble shoot issues on an order line due to any missing information in these setups.
  • Ability to understand the integration of OMC with Order Capture and Order Fulfillment applications.

GOP

  • Ability to understand the setting up of ATP and sourcing rules in GOP and explain why a particular order line was sourced from a given location.
  • Ability to understand the carrier and shipment method options for a transportation lane from an org to a Customer Location.
  • Understand the Supply Availability and Allocation UI of GOP and support business questions on current supply and allocation consumed and available quantities
  • Familiar with Check Availability API and Schedule function of GOP. Answer questions from the business on the calculation of Scheduled Shipped Date and Scheduled Arrival dates for a particular Order Line.
  • Understand the Allocation hierarchy and horizontal ranking of allocation consumption.
  • Troubleshoot any issues arising from uploading supply and allocations in GOP from Execution and Planning Systems.

Backlog Management:

  • Understand how backlog management prioritizes order lines both through the UI as well as using ESS jobs.
  • Ability to work with the business, review results of the simulation and be able to explain the behavior of Backlog Management for a given Order Portfolio
  • A good understanding on how the release function in Backlog Management updates OMC and GOP and be able to trouble shoot issues arising from this process.


OIC:

  • Good Knowledge of OIC and how OIC components call REST APIs of OMC, GOP and Backlog Management

Team Player and Collaboration

  • Ability to work across teams with different cultures and in multiple time zones.
  • Ability to work with Oracle using the Service Request Process
  • Ability to work with the business to understand and triage issues
  • Ability to work with development teams to define the issues and help them to build the test scenarios to ensure issue is fixed.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new business processes and technologies 

As Member of the Support Team:      

  • Ensure SLAs are met for all incidents
  • Provide change coordination and change management for incident resolution
  • Participate in the change approval for production changes
  • Primary interface between IS and business for support of these applications
  • Work with vendors and Michelin IS teams on issue resolution with appropriate and timely root cause analysis.
